I'm wanting to do some body work such as filling in holes and etc. On my hilux and was wondering what would be the best glue to use. Thanks, SLUFOOT

I would assume the Tenax 7 nad some carefully placed styrene will do it, then just fill it in with MMD green Putty and sand

Exactly what he said. Here's a little video I made...

how much work you choose to do with the styrene before using filler is up to you.
Its possible to do it without an or only a tiny bit of filler.

Holy crap he's killing me in that video. It doesnt take that much effort to fill a hole at all. I mean I guess if your wanting it to look like its new but to me thats overkill, I mean thats what filler is for too.

Tenax 7R...if you can find it. Apparently it's been discontinued??
Plastistruct weld, orange label is good stuff too....
And a cataylized filler for less shrinkage.

I agree its a little overkill but I like to get as much of the body done without filler as possible. I'm always afraid the filler will crack or pop out especially low on the rocker like that (and without sliders)

This is what it ends up looking like before filler.

Green squadron putty is what I would suggest. You can fill in the holes / blemishes and sand it down perfectly. "thumbsup"

One technique that works real well and is very easy is a lexan patch and epoxy that is designed to work well with plastics. Cut out a small piece of scrap lexan (I figure we all have some scraps some where from trimmed bodies, projects, etc.) tape it on the inside on the body so the hole or crack is covered (make sure the tape is on the backside of the lexan). Mix the epoxy. I usually use a popsicle stick to put it on. Try to fill the hole, and just overlap the edge slightly. You may have to hold it a bit in a certain position so the epoxy does not move. Various epoxies have varying cure times, so it depends how comfortable you are with it, and how fast you want it to set up.
After the epoxy is fully cured, just pull the tape, and pull the lexan off. Lexan and epoxy really dont stick together well at all, so it lust takes a tug and it pops right off. The surface left behind on the inside is perfectly smooth, but the outside will need some sanding. If you have a place that you can easily get the lexan down flat on, on the outside of the body, do that, and you can get a real flat patch with very minimal work - as long as its perfectly flush.
